# ComposerWire auth.md

ComposerWire (https://composerwire.com) does not register agents, because
there is nothing to register for. Every page is public and read-only. This
file says so in the auth.md format, so an agent does not have to probe the
site to find out.

## Audience

Any agent or program reading https://composerwire.com: search and AI
crawlers, assistants fetching a page for a person, and scripts.

## Registration

None. There is no registration or provisioning endpoint, no `/agent/auth`,
and no account to create. Nothing on the site accepts a POST: it is read with
GET.

## Supported methods

Anonymous, public read only. No identity assertion, verified email or
anonymous claim flow is offered, because no credential is ever issued.

## Credentials

None are needed, and any sent are ignored. Send requests without an
`Authorization` header, cookies or an API key. There is no OAuth Protected
Resource Metadata (`/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource`) and no
authorization server.

## What you can read

- Any page, as HTML or, with `Accept: text/markdown`, as Markdown.
- [The sitemap](https://composerwire.com/sitemap.xml), which lists every
  page.
- [robots.txt](https://composerwire.com/robots.txt), whose Content-Signal
line says how the content may be used.
- [The API catalog](https://composerwire.com/.well-known/api-catalog)
(RFC 9727) and the [OpenAPI description](https://composerwire.com/openapi.json)
of the site, and [the same for people](https://composerwire.com/api/).

## Subscribing

The newsletter's subscriptions are handled by Substack, at
[composerwire.substack.com](https://composerwire.substack.com/subscribe), under
Substack's own terms. The About page and each issue page frame Substack's
signup form, which sends an address to Substack and never to this site: this
site holds no subscriber data and cannot sign anyone up.
